I Can Therapy is a company devoted to providing family centered occupational therapy to enable every client to develop new skills.  We intend to make enough profit to finance continued growth and quality equipment, while maintaining a creative, flexible and respectful work environment.

 

Leonie Goertzen is a registered occupational therapist providing services to kids of all ages and abilities in the outlying areas of the Spokane Valley, as well as adults with sensory processing disorder.  She has over 20 years of experience assisting clients and their families in achieving their improvement goals.

Leonie's specialty is working with children and encouraging them to set and achieve their goals.  She is experienced in evaluating and treating children with a wide range of diagnosis, in both the private clinic and school settings.  Part of her treatment includes providing consultation and education to parents and educational staff.

In the school environment, Leonie has worked as part of IEP teams to develop appropriate goals and objectives.  She has also assisted in the development of OT documentation and forms.

Leonie also worked with adult populations.  Her previous experience includes evaluating and treating adults with a variety of diagnoses in area skilled nursing facilities and adult day care facilities.  She also developed and managed inpatient occupational therapy programs for a 20-bed unit for severely mentally ill and dully diagnosed adult clients and 8-bed adolescent/children unit.
